Approach

The JDHR adopts the rights based approach while defining it as a tool to reduce vulnerabilities and promote fundamental rights of the people ensuring peace, well-being and social justice for current and future generations. The JDHR produces knowledge with a view to build capacity of media/journalists and through them the people and civil society on issues of public interest. The research program at JDHR is based on policy advice, advocacy and training.

Advocacy
Promotion of rights based approach to reduce vulnerabilities. Creation of awareness, and active support for democracy and human rights in government, private sector, NGOs, academia and general public.

Policy
Improved policy in government, private and NGO sectors to ensure protection of human rights and democratic values

Training
High quality training to journalists, NGO activists, organizations and individuals to strengthen institutions and build capacity for promotion of rights based approach.
